Transcribely is run by Osama Mahmoud (Jordan). We collect only what the service needs to work, we do not sell your data, and we do not use your files or transcripts to train AI models. Questions or requests: transcribeeersupport@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a hash of your password (we never store the password itself).
- Files and transcripts: the audio or video you upload for transcription and the text we produce from it.
- Credits and payments: your credit balance, a history of every credit change, and your orders (pack, amount, status and the payment ID from our payment provider). We never see your wallet keys.
- Free converter: the files you convert, and a one-way hash of your IP address so we can apply the daily limit for visitors without an account.
- Technical logs: errors and request logs that help us keep the service running.
How long we keep it
- Files you convert in the free converter, and their results, are deleted one hour after conversion.
- Uploaded media and transcripts stay in your account so you can download them again, until you ask us to delete them or delete your account.
- Credit and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records, even after an account is deleted.
Who processes data for us
- Transcription runs on our own servers. Your audio is not sent to a third-party AI service.
- Brevo sends our emails (account confirmation and password reset), so it receives your email address.
- NOWPayments processes crypto payments on its own hosted page and tells us when a payment is confirmed. Its own privacy policy applies to what you enter there.
- Our hosting provider stores the data above on our behalf.
Cookies and local storage
We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and two small cookies that remember whether to show the app layout and whether the sidebar is collapsed. Your browser's local storage remembers a few display choices, such as the theme. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and everything in it. Email transcribeeersupport@gmail.com from the address on your account. We answer within 30 days. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Transcribely is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page, and we email account holders about important changes. See also our Terms of service.
