Terms of service

The rules for using Transcribely. By creating an account or using the converter, you agree to them.

Last updated 19 October 2026

The service

Transcribely is run by Osama Mahmoud (Jordan). It turns audio and video into text in Arabic, English and Turkish, and offers a free file converter. Transcripts are produced automatically and can contain mistakes, so check them before relying on them for anything important.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old and give a real email address that you can confirm.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One person, one account. Accounts created only to collect free credits may be suspended.

Credits and payments

  • Transcription costs credits per second of audio, rounded up to 0.1 credit per file (at least 0.5). Current prices are on the Buy credits page and may change; a change never affects credits you already have.
  • Free credits are topped up daily up to a limit and have no cash value. Credits you buy never expire.
  • Payments are made in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. Credits are added once the payment is confirmed.
  • Refunds follow our Refund policy.

Your files

You keep all rights to the files you upload and the transcripts we produce from them. You give us only the permission we need to store and process them to provide the service. You must have the right to upload each file, including the consent of the people recorded where the law requires it. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy policy.

What you may not do

  • upload content that is illegal, or that you have no right to use,
  • try to get around credit limits, payments or the converter's daily limit,
  • attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or access other people's data,
  • resell the service or use automated tools against it without our written permission.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Unused purchased credits are refunded unless the account was suspended for fraud.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Transcribely running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top of this page and email account holders about important changes; using the service after that means you accept the new terms. Questions: transcribeeersupport@gmail.com.
