Subtitle translator
Upload an .srt or .vtt file and download it translated. Every time stays exactly where it was, so it still lines up with your video.
How it works
- 1Drop your .srt or .vtt file on the page, or click to choose it.
- 2Pick the language, the style and, for Arabic, the dialect. Add a glossary for names and terms if you like.
- 3Press Translate subtitles and download the result as SRT or VTT.
About this tool
Subtitles are translated in batches with the context of the whole file, so names and terms stay consistent from start to end.
High quality adds a second pass that checks each line against the original and fixes mistakes. Long lines are split into two balanced lines.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes, for now. It needs a free account, and your file isn't stored: the translation is sent straight back to you.
Which Arabic dialects can it write?
Modern Standard Arabic, Levantine (Shami), Egyptian and Gulf Arabic.
Will the timing change?
No. Only the text is translated; every start and end time is kept exactly.
My video has no subtitles yet. What do I do?
Use Video to text first: it transcribes the video and gives you subtitles, which you can translate on the result page.
